Leadership Giving Not New to Loyal Donor
Donor Mark Schwartz recently recounted his experience of losing his mother and the genesis of his strong connection to Livingston Hospice. "When my mother died in 1993, I flew 2,000 miles to Minnesota, rented a car, drove 30 minutes to the hospital (missing an exit along the way), and made it 15 minutes before she passed. The nurses said she likely was waiting for me to get there. Losing a loved one is never easy, but that memory will stay with me forever."
Mark has been giving at the Distinguished Donor level, annual giving of $1,000 or more, since 1998. Nearly a decade before the agency established a Distinguished Donor program. He's had Livingston in his estate plans for nearly as long. In this year's annual report, 2011, Mark will be counted among the inaugural members of Livingston's Legacy Society. Thanks for waiting on us to catch up Mark!
